I have been using DeJa Vu for quite some time now without problem. However my first backup since upgrading to OS 10.3.4 did not work.

This is my procedure for backing up my system: I run TechToolPro on both my internal HD and then my FW HD. Then I repair permissions on my internal HD. After that I use DeJa Vu to do a complete system backup that is boot-able.

This time when I ran DeJa Vu it reported an error : Temporary items: at/user/local/bin/psync line 170.

When I tried to startup using my FW HD I got a black screen, terminal mode I guess, asking my name and password, when I entered those I got the regular blue screen log in. When I typed my name and password I got a message saying 'You are unable to log in at this time contact your system administrator'.

I reran TTP and it reported everything passed and no problems as did Disk Utility for the FW HD.

I am the administrator and only user of this machine. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how to correct it.

Thanks,

Download the latest version of psync (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/20809).

Wipe your external backup drive and try doing a full backup again.

Thanks Spliff that did the trick. Downloaded the updated psync, 0.68.1, and installed it. Re ran DeJa Vu and no errors reported and it boot's normally into FW HD again.

Thanks again,
