I need to import email from Mail to Thunderbird. Is it possible? I like Thunderbird, the clean interface and it seems to be much less sluggish than Mail. However I have 3 years worth of email than I need to move over. Alternatively, can anyone tell me if Entourage 2004 can import from Mail?

Yes it's possible in two phase. export from mail to mbox format.
then import from thunderbird mbox format.

Ho do I export the mail boxes from Mail? I can't see an option exporting in Mail.
