I was Just curious if any one has tried this program and if so what did they think. It's seems like something that could really screw up your system ( especially since OSX is so reliant on permissions) if one thing was entered wrong. I want to use it to share a couple dif folders with roomates using XP boxes, it seems like OSX will only let a user see public folder or I have to give roommates full access to my entire drive with my password which I dont wanna do.

I tried an earlier version to set up a file server for a client, and it worked well except for one problem: permissions set for a parent folder were not inherited by newly created subfolders, which pretty much made it useless for me. However, I believe that problem has been fixed since then.
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.

Yep, that problem has been fixed. We use it to look after shared work on a centralised Mac on our network. I spent 5 minutes setting up the software about six months ago and it has worked like a gem since. The inheriting of permissions by subfolders was critical to the whole thing working.
