Problem with FontBook: it started by disabling the user fonts and classic fonts, and then no showing the fonts in the collections.
I tried deleting the prefs, the collections... but no uccess.
Now it doesn't even load the list in the first column or let me preview the fonts.
However it works in another session.
I already trashed my prefs, but no way. Fontbook has become unusable in my sesson.

Any solution anyone?

Greg, I had the exact same thing happen to me twice over the last few weeks. (here and here)

The first time I deleted all fonts from ~/Library/Fonts/ and all FB collections, and somehow got FB working again. The second time I had enough of FontBook.
My solution has been to trash FontBook entirely, and use FontAgent Pro instead.

I'm all for square pegs in round holes and troublemakers, mind you, but not in my Operating System!

Thanks for the solution confederate fellow (I'm swiss too - Hop Nati)
I renamed the ~/Library/Font into Font.old, deleted the font collections and voilà!
Now I'll re-import just the necessary fonts in my FB.

Right, but it might help them catch their plane before all the germans take all the seats on their way back home. Is there still a direct flight from portugal to Unique?
