hi, i have a stupid question but i figure u guys would know. is there any point in updating microsoft office v.x from it's stock cd version to 10.1.5? or will it just lag and mess up other things?

It's definitely worth updating - among those 5 updates, they improved the speed of the applications in general, added quartz text smoothing (when OS X 10.1.5 came about) and although apparently debatably, improved Entourage support for Exchange mail servers. Go for it .

thanks, i dont notice any quarts smoothing yet .. maybe a reboot will do .. or maybe i just havent looked carefully enough .. i mainly use word ... so if it affects the other ones .. i wouldnt notice i guess ... *shrug* .. oh well

It affects Word, and I think you will notice it, but if I recall, it isn't on by default in Word. You might have to turn it on via Preferences -> View in Word. See how that goes.
