I apologize if this has been covered previously, but is there a program I can use to transfer songs from my old ipod to my new ipod mini-- or is there a way to do it? Thanks for any help.

According to the homepage:

Pod 2 Pod A tool that will help make an exact clone of an iPod to another iPod--great for those with 2 iPods. P2P will also allow you to backup your single (or both) iPods to your hard drive, in case of theft or loss. P2P is no longer available for download.
