Good Afternoon all! Sorry to interrupt the Tiger excitement with a request for help.
My sister has been on a month long trip around europe recently with her digital camera. Although she had two 512mb SD cards, she still used them up (4MP camera, big file sizes!), so had to get images burned onto CDs at random places.
Comes back to Australia, all is well, she goes to put them all on iPhoto on her computer, yet there are a few important images that won't import. So I go and find them on the CD in the Finder, and copy them to the Hard Drive, but get a disk error when copying the last kilobyte (error -36). It seems these couple of images are corrupted somehow. GraphicConverter attempts to open them, but states that they are corrupted. It only shows about 2 rows of pixels.
The thing is, when iPhoto attempts to import these images, it shows a preview of the photo in it's little importing pane, so obviously most of the needed data is there. Is there a good program out there to help recover corrupted JPEGs?
