Im having a great deal of trouble with some QT files. they come off n AlchemyDVR card. they are Sorensen3 files of about 1.25GB. they run fine, and I can use QT to export them to a smaller file, mp4.
but it seems that two utilities, Batch Export Utility and QTbatchExport are also having some problems with these files.
BEU has worked in the past, but from time to time it does not recognize the source file, so won't work. the app makes have tried to help. the other program also has some sort of problem finding the files.
but here is my question: Ive noticed that using QT alone, some files, about the same size and from the same card and same file type (sorensen3) take about 16 minutes to export to mp4 using QT, and sometimes it takes about 45 minutes,
does a difference like this ring any bells with experienced QT users? I have no idea if the files are different, and if they are how to find out, or if the possible differenced are affecting BEU and QTBE.
I know this is a complicated question and may not have an answer, but maybe someone has had a similar problem with QT files in the past.
