I am not the only one that has this problem. The other person that uses Entourage 2004 can't connect either although apple's mail.app can connect. The settings are correct. It connects to the mail server but then stalls and all it says next to the status bar is "Logging on as usernamehere". Mail app connects fine. I did a search and the only thing that comes up about connection problems is something about ssl but I am not using ssl in mail or entourage.
Anyone have any ideas what would cause entourage to be different than mail?
