When I attempt to go to a site, a message window will come up saying Safari can't find the site.

When I click Ok and then refresh, it goes to the site.

I have cleaned the cache, thrown away the plist and reset Safari.

Any ideas?

10.3.4. Everything is updated.

I think that this is a known problem, I have the problem myself and I've read of other people who have the same problem. ASFAIK there is isn't a workaround.

And it is a problem that just comes out of nowhere?

Wow. This is troubling. I have been using this latest version since it came out. I would get these messages every so often but now I am getting them nearly every time. Safari is now totally unusable.

Just did an experiment based on something I found with a search in these forums.

If I am plugged in directly to the cable, everything works zippy fast. Don't get the message at all. When I use Airport I have problems. Someone thinks it may be a problem introduced with the last security update.

Kripes.

What's with everyone blaming things on security updates all the time ? I've had the problem for a while, before the security update and I don't use AirPort.

Well, I just happened to update our iMac, which is our airport software base station to the latest security update yesterday.
