I've been applying for jobs online and I get a call this afternoon on my cell phone from an employer. He gives me info about an interview next week that I enter into iCal as he tells it to me. He gives me all of the info and the only place that I have it is typed into the iCal event. Well as soon as we hang up and I click off the iCal event I get an error saying that you can't edit events in iCal while it is syncing and I lost all of that data that I just typed!!! The address, phone number and names of the people I was meeting, all GONE!

Luckily I was able to call back the company since I had the number history on my cell phone. But seriously, its ridiculous that iCal would do this. If I can't change info then don't let me enter it! And then don't just delete everything I've typed! I'm going to Apple feedback right now.

Computers are wonderful, they really are, but I don't trust mine. I'll write it down, then add it to iCal later

I guess it's not such a bad thing that Palm Desktop closes your file during a HotSync operation!
