so i downloaded firefox .9 and an image appeared on the desktop i double click and nothing happen.The logo appears to my dock but i cant get it to run.ur help is prettu much appriciated.

What did you downloaded ? What OS are you running ?

What you downloaded is called a disk image. When you open it (and it sounds like Stuffit Expander must have opened it automatically for you) a virtual disk will be mounted. Inside that disk is the program. Drag the program to your Applications folder, and then run it. Then eject the virtual disk and throw away the file you downloaded.
