I am posting this message because for the past 2 days I have been battling with (what I thought was a simple installation ) of Adobe reader (10.3.4, PB listed in sig) however it was giving me an error after I would drag the application over to my application folder- "reader could not be installed and quit"
Solution was that the installer needs to see a "shared " folder in your Users folder. Pretty frustrating (and poor on Adobe's part) but this will fix the problem.
