The file extension would indicate that it's some form of MPEG-2, so you could try VLC. I can't find any definite info on the file format, but this page certainly points to MPEG-2 ("Built-in MPEG analog encoder" and "MPEG-2 Digital Video Processor").

m2t would be a MPEG2 Transport Stream. VLC supports it.
