I have a G3 iMac (no bluetooth) and a sony ericsson T610, is it possible to get my mac to see the phone and thus use isync for contacts etc via a USB cable? If so has anyone got an idea which cable i should use, a friend recommended a USB data cable made by Kondor (MA-8910P) which is compatible with my phone but the box only mentions PC's, so i am a little wary about shelling out for it if it doesn't work.
Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure it won't work, but just get a USB Bluetooth adapter (dlink has a good one) and you're in business.

Thought i might have to go down that route but thought the cable was probably cheaper.

You can get some pretty cheap Bluetooth adapters these days, that claim to work with a Mac (I believe it's the same situation as with Cameras, that if they support the right standard they will work without drivers).

Get a $20 d-link Bluetooth stick.

Works instantly - just plug it in.

No cables, no driver problem, not much extra $$, and no throwing away the stupid cable once you get a new mobile next year, since you'll make sure that it will have Bluetooth (trust me, you will, once you've switched to the wireless thing). You don't even have to take the damn phone out of your bag to sync it up.

Bluetooth rocks.

Especially on OS X.
