Does anyone know of a script that would have OWA check for new messages automatically?

It is a secure connection onto the company exchange server. Is this possible to set up in mail?

It's worth giving it a shot... Just choose the "Exchange" type account, and fill in all the OWA info as indicated.

Thanks for the help cpac. I have filled out the info but no go yet.
"An Exchange account allows you to connect to your Exchange server via IMAP, and if you enter text in the Outlook Web Access Server field, Mail filters non-email related content from the server. (You can get the text you need to enter from your mail account provider.) For Exchange to work with Mail, Exchange administrators need to configure the Exchange server for IMAP access. Some system administrators may refer to an Outlook Web Access Server as an Internet Information Services (IIS) server."
This part about the text in the Web Access Server Field confuses me. The address that I go to for my OWA mail is
https://webmail.company.com/exchange/
Should that be added to the incoming mail server field or the Outlook Web Access Server field? When I add it to the OWA Server field it abbreviates it to
webmail.company.com.
When I add it to the incoming mail server field nothing happens when I try to retrieve mail.

Not sure i can be of huge help - but for me, both the web access server and the incoming mail server info look the same - no http://, and nothing after the domain - I'd see if putting webmail.company.com for both works...
You might also ask your administrator (if you think they're likely to be helpful) whether IMAP access has been turned on or not. If it hasn't, you may just be SOL.

Really appreciate your help. Still no go.
I have sent some pdf's to our IT guy showing setup but don't expect too much. I am the only mac in the company (except for the marketing people that have macs for graphics and PC's to get mail, etc.) They don't care if I use a mac but their favorite line is "We don't support the mac."
They always take a peak at it when I come to the office though. (HQ is in another city.) The marketing people are still using OS9 and OSX does interest them. Just not enough...yet.
