I posted in peripherals a while back that I suddenly couldn't sync either my iPod or Palm, but never got any responses. I've since determined that the problem is iCal, but still can't solve it. What happens is, when iSync tries to get calendar data from iCal, it just fails. Sometimes I get "INTERNAL ERROR: unhandled AOS error (duplicate keys rejected and listed). iSync's internal database has become corrupted. It is impossible to continue syncing. The database has been reset, but you must now re-synchronize all of your devices. Please try syncing again.", other times just "Synchronization failed," no details

iSync's log just ends with "getting calendars and todo items from iCal", no indication that it failed except that nothing appears after that in the log.

I removed all traces of iSync and the iSync palm conduit and reinstalled, but that made no difference. I backed-up and removed my calendars and all iCal settings and reinstalled iCal, still no difference.

Any ideas what else to try? (I've eliminated the Palm from the mix, just trying to sync iPod for now, to limit the software involved to iSync and iCal.)

well, assuming that the problem was with my desktop mac, I moved may Palm to my iBook, installed current versions of Palm Desktop, iSync, and the palm conduit, and got the exact same error. So now I think the problem is iSynCal - I'd been using it for a long time, but perhaps version 4 has somehow corrupted iCal. That's the only thing I can think of that these computers have in common that could cause a problem like this.
