I'm trying to install a game on OS X (The Sims) that uses Classic (OS 9) to install and run. The installer opens and it gets to the window that asks you where to install the program. It will install, however, in the top right under the name of my hard drive it says "1.9 GB Available". This isn't right as I have over 50 GBs free on my system.

Now when I try to install something else else that uses Classic, that number is even lower and it won't let me install it, saying "You need an extra xxx megabytes on Hard Drive X to install Program X".

What do I need to do, as I have a number of programs I want to install, that run Classic, but it won't let me due to this space issue. I'm sure I have over 50 gigs free on my hard drive, finder says it.
