I've been trying to figure out how to create an image of an audio CD before I burn it, and save it to my hard drive. I can save it in various formats, but I am unsure which is the correct format for audio (if I've even been able to save in the proper format).
The other problem I'm having is that I can't seem to get an audio CD to mount as if it were in the internal CD/DVD-ROM drive of my Sawtooth. Although not something that happens too often, every once in a while I come across a program that won't recognize anything not in the drive.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to create an audio cd in toast or itunes, then just save what would have been burned to the hard drive (again, I'm unsure if the strange image format toast lets me save in is proper), and then be able to mount those images as if they were in the main CD drive of the computer.
I'd rather not have to buy additional software to do this, but if that's the only way, then so be it.
