Hi All

My Mac crashed today and when I restarted, iTunes reported a damaged .xml file and created a new one. When iTunes finally opened (the oldest half) of my music was missing from the library and, of course, playlists.

I have a backup of the .xml file and the iTunes Music Library file from a couple of months ago. Switching those files has returned most of the music but the data from all tracks I've added since that last back up are trapped in the newly created .xml file. Do I have to drag the music in manually or is there a way I can rescue it from the .xml file?

Alternatively, is there a way (script?) to enter .mp3 files without dragging them individually?

Any help much appreciated!

You can drag entire folders to the iTunes window; iTunes will add any file it can read to your library.
