What do you guys use to backup and restore your Macs?
I had to use CCC recently and I ran into some "issues".
My experience:
After I cloned my Mac's harddrive to the Firewire drive, everything seemed OK, until I tried to restore it.
When I first used CCC on another Mac, CCC worked fine, so I didn't think that I would have a problem this time around... but according to the CCC Faq, the NetInfo db screwed up somehow or something, and luckily it had the instructions to solve it.
But it didn't take me more than 2 hours before I realised it.
So all's well now.
So what are you using?

FireWire drive with another Bombich (developer of CCC) tool called:
NetRestore
It does the same thing as CCC basically; however, makes a single .dmg file of your entire HD. To me this makes more sense, and is easier to manage on the FW drive. Then, I just restore my internal HD if need be with the .dmg backup.
Flawless.
With that said, I've never had any issues with CCC either...

I use Lacie's free SilverKeeper. I've never had a problem with it.

I'm pretty sure you can do that with CCC as well.

True; however, NetRestore has vast more deployment options than CCC...that's why I use it primarily. Each are good though for sure.

I just started to use Super Duper.
After being a long time user of Tri-Backup and Apple Backup (and some attempts with CCC) Super Duper is great for its ease of use and just overall simplicity.
It has a smart update feature that keeps my backup time to less than 10 minutes including repair of permissions.
I recommend it highly. Developer very responsive.
