I just bought a cheap $40 philips/nike mp3 player. Before I get a million flames, I do own a 15 gig ipod but i just got it replaced because i went out jogging with it and the hard drive died on me, so I'm not working out with that thing ever again!

Anyway, this player that I got is good for what it does. It's extremely small and cheap, holds 64megs which is plenty for a run. My question is itunes obviously does not recognize 3rd party mp3 players, so how do I sync some songs into this thing? Now it did come with software, but it's for os9 and i don't have os9.

I downloaded audion but I don't think it syncs songs. Any clue what players will work for me?

Well, according to this review here, you may be able to find an iTunes compatible plug-in for this; however, I have no idea where. And this isn't the model you have...but it's a start...

Type in your exact model # and the words "OS X" into Google and see what comes out of it.

Good Luck!

In that article he frequently mentions that Apple should remove the compatibility listing for the nike[psa. Apple's compatibility was with the older Rio Audio nike[PSA (which I happened to own before I bought my iPod mini), so they weren't entirely wrong and Rio does support iTunes out of the box with almost all of their players.
