Here's the details:
I use earthlink for mail. Up until yesterday, I had that one acct, and all worked fine. Yesterday I created a second earthlink mail address (I'm permitted 8). Now I can only get Mail to fetch my NEW acct's mail... when I click on the original acct's mailbox and click Get Mail, it says it's doing everything, but never gets the mail... I gotta go to earthlink.net to fetch my mail...

Both acct setting in the Apple Mail prefs are exactly the same...

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

double check your settings in advanced under the account preference pane. make sure they both are enabled and included when automatically checking for new mail.

if things still don't work out right, try rebuilding your inbox for the heck of it (that for some reason fixes problems I have with mail) and see if activity viewer has any info about the account.

open it up in the windows menu and then get mail and see if an error comes up or if it even checks it.

OK... will I lose anything by rebuilding my mailbox?

Well the settings all match... and rebuilding my mailbox didn't do anything... hmmm... maybe I'll try contacting earthlink.net...

BUT if anyone has any other suggestions...
