When I try to update 6.2.4 to 6.2.9 I keep getting a message that states "It appears that a US version ofAppleworks 6.2.9 or later is already installed in the specified Update Location"
I only have 6.2.4 installed, any suggestions?

Gee, I've not even tried upgrading Appleworks forever. What is in the upgrade? Is it worth it? I only use a few modules from Appleworks as I use Word for word processing.

1st check you have the right localised version - i.e. US English, UK English etc.

Maybe try deleting your initial installation, then reinstall and update.

It had to do with country (Canada) as final destination. Thanks for suggestions.
I personally avoid all things Windoze if at all possible. Now that CERT has declared IE as a no go zone I'm more inclined to avoid all Microsoft related products.

I did to for a while. I tried ThinkFree, OpenOffice and others including Appleworks. Then my wife got the teacher version of Office:Mac vx. (We had used Office 98 years ago in OS 8 but I wanted no MS when I went to OS X). To tell the truth, Office:Mac vx blows any of the others out of the water. It truly is the standard for wp, spreadsheets, etc. I know it's like dancing with the devil, but in this case the devil sure do dance good.
