Subject says it all. When I forward on an HTML newsletter to people, the app ruins all the formatting rendering it useless.

Any one else experiencing this?

Yes, I am aware, and it is very frustrating. AFAIK there is absolutely no way to work around this in mail, so if I must do this sometimes, I use Entourage for that email, and then continue to use Mail.

Hopefully this will be fixed sometime...

I believe Tiger Mail has beefed up HTML support, so that might work better.

Thanks,
Oliver

HTML emails are evil. I can't stand them myself.

But yes, Apple has plans for this in Tiger.

I talked about this just last month in my blog: http://www.web9studios.com/blog9/200...d-html_20.html and I proposed a rather good solution, IMO.

Instead of forwarding the message, you might try redirecting it. This should maintain the formatting of the original message. When you forward something, Mail will style it so that other mail clients render it differently that your own message.

"Redirect" is a new action for me. Can you explain it? how to implement it?

In theory that should work indeed. But it doesn't in mail.

The concept is that it is simply passing on the identical email to a different address, as opposed to fwding which places the contents of the previous email into a new one by you.

So yes, it should work, but I can confirm that it still doesn't. Mail mucks about with it to the poitn that some HTML emails are almost unreadable. No big deal for personal use, but for invoices and other carefully laid out items, it's ridiculous.
