I downloaded BeOS Personal Edition 5, and booted it up on VPC using the floppy image and the cd image. However, whenever the BeOS installer tries to initialize the VPC harddrive, BeOS crashes. How would one fix this?
In vino veritas.

I got the linux version of BeOS working by using the boot floppy that comes with it.

However, I would get a video card not supported message and the performance on my dual 1GHz Power Mac was terrible.

BeOS Max works in Virtual PC (see also this review), even if it might remain only in black and white; when I tried it, the installer hanged at the very end, but, after forcedly quitting it and rebooting, the BeOS "worked" anyway, even if not in an ideal way...
