I was wondering what program everyone uses to map key combinations to applications, files, system actions, etc. So far the best I've seen is HotApp, but they require you to buy the full version after only three hours of use. Most of the freeware alternatives I tried (Keyboard Maestro and similar) seem to be rather lacking. Anyone have a good alternative?

Just curious.

Edit: Oh, and a quick question on OSX since I don't feel it deserves its own thread in another forum. Is there a delete function? There's a delete key, but it works as a backspace. I want something that can delete text from the right instead of the left. Thanks a bunch.

I've looked around and there seems to be only Quickeys that really does the whole job... and we are all looking forward to the birth of our new soon-to-favourite child - Automator.

Yeah, I looked at Quickeys as well but the full version costs somewhere in the realm of $100. Rather steep.

I'll check out Automator...

Automator will be in 10.4. It one of the new features in Tiger. I wish we had it now too.
With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)
