I'm involved with, and pleased to announce, AutomatorWorld (http://www.automatorworld.com). The press release:

AutomatorWorld is a new website dedicated the Mac scripting application Automator, due to ship in 2005 with OS X 10.4 Tiger. AutomatorWorld will be a clearinghouse of user-contributed Automator Workflows, as well as feature information, news and tips.

There is a huge userbase of Mac professionals who tinker with Applescript, Xcode and other tools in an effort to simplify the complexity of their work, and Automator promises to tie all these together in a simple, powerful interface. We hope to make AutomatorWorld their primary destination for sharing and learning about this powerful new application.

AutomatorWorld - "Better Living Through Macintosh Scripting".

Thanks for checking us out!

Looks pretty cool. I think you'll need to make an index page for the workflows pretty soon though. The current design won't scale well with hundreds of them.

Agreed. Maybe they can be catagorized by the applications they manipulate, and a search engine can find all the workflows that apply to all the applications selected.

Great news. Love the site design. Not to promote a competitor but also look for http://automatoractions.com/ to go live eventually. I think it will be nice to have a few sources for Automatorians. You've been added to my bookmarks.

Yup, accounted for, fear not
In the sidebar there is the "Category" section (below the search field), which will have the breakdown of Workflow types (currently just Mail and Pictures), echoing the categories of Automator itself. Eventually that will hold a more prominent position, but we don't expect many actual Workflows for some time.

First...

http://www.thedashboarder.com

And now this website.

It seems like developers are really getting prepared for TIGER.

This is great because that means when 10.4 is released, we will have a good amount of resources available to us so we can take advantage of these new features.

I do love that about the Mac community. Every piece of Apple software has some enthusiast site focused on it. This really helps new users.

Your welcome, but it's actually a default feature of Movable Type, which drives the site. It's pretty cool seeing the built in RSS in Tiger Safari though.

I, for one, can't wait until Tiger goes final and we can all use Automator. AutomatorWorld looks great - It's great to have a place where we can discuss and find workflows.
