i just moved my friend from os9 to osx...
she's thrilled but...
i went to import her mail from outlook express to apple's mail app...and i can't find her email.

any idea where this would be located (from the os9 setup)..?

Perform a search on your local HD for Main Identity...and follow that path...

actually, i did that, found a "messages" icon that's..about a gig worth of...old email?
but can't import it into address book OR mail;
double-clicking it opens entourage (in osx) but there's nothing showing.

Umm, you may need to Import the Outlook Express stuff into Entourage first, and then try importing into Mail.app from Entourage...

Are you using the "built-in" Import function of Entourage to do this?

Just wondering.

tried importing into both mail and entourage...
nothing highlights!

but that message file is a gig (this is about 3 years of email of a photographer...lots of images sent...)

I did this a while ago on my wife's PowerBook, but I don't remember exactly what I did (IIRC, I exported from Outlook Express to text files, then imported into Mail). I do know, however, that I could only get messages, not attachments.
