I am using UnRARX to extract a movie file and i get this error message

Extracting from /Users/Jacob/Documents/Downloads/The.Girl.Next.Door.2004.DVDRip.XviD-DoNE/tgnd-done.r48

Total errors: 1



When i extract it to the desktop i can see the file while it is extracting and even open it, but as soon as it finishes, it dissapears. Does anyone have an idea on whats going on, thanks.

Might be a corrupted file you've got there...

Probably a corrupt file. I think that UnRarX has an option to not delete files that produce an error, so you could see what did get un-rared. Try that, but in my experience, that file of yours is no good.

Also, I have run across a few files that werew created with a newer version of WinRar that I had trouble getting open with anything else.

Looks like one of your rar files is incomplete or damaged. If you have the associated PAR files, drop a par file onto UnRarX window and it will attempt to recover the damaged files.
