Hello everyone,
As I was reading through this thread, a very common theme kept appearing. That being a good credit card processing software does not exist for we Apple users. Well, I am pleased to announce that this is no longer the case.
It is with great pleasure that I present to all of here in this thread and to all Mac Users: TakeCharge, a credit card processing software that works with Mac OS X. TakeCharge can handle all forms of transactions from simple credit cards to recurring billing charges and ACH check transactions, easily and securely straight from your computer. With features previously available only in enterprise level products, this software can be used in places like fast food restaurants, retail outlets and lodging. The consumer will be able to purchase the product with a credit or debit card, eliminating the hassle of cash transactions.

I've always wanted cash transactions to be a thing of the pasta!
Ooh, and I like when meatballs are a thing of my pasta too.

Well, I'm one of the developers of this software. I can see, due to the copious marketing-speak, how you'd think this is spam... but anyone who has wanted to process credit transactions on a Mac knows that solution providers have been taking advantage of Mac business owners for years: selling ancient software that hasn't been maintained in years, requiring a PC backend or doing processing through a 3rd party.
This forum seems like an appropriate place to discuss new software. If anyone has any technical questions about it, I'd be glad to answer them.
As far as the GUI, we have an integrated theme component, which runs in a windowed or kiosk mode. We currently only ship with 3 themes, but more are in development, and a wiley user could create their own. an example of another theme is here.
Gorickey, the MSRP for the software is $449, however distributers will set their own pricing. We also have a special pricing through MUGs of $399.

Thanks khrome for the response and information, I have quite a few people who may be interested in giving this a try, I'll let them know it's available! Is their any sort of possible evaulation/demo of the software available for testing purposes?

Sorry it took a few days to get it wrapped up, but we now have a demo, which can be downloaded from our site (from the sidebar on the right side of our page).

Cool stuff. I have to use Microsith software at work and deal with informative dialogues like "barcode xxxx was not found" Yes/No

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Four, when ordering food, you find out what she wants, then order for the both of you. It's a classy move. "Now, the lady will have the linguini and white spam sauce, and a Coke with no ice." And five, now this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.

Actually, I take back my earlier comments - after actually reading the post that started the thread, it seems that this actually is on-topic since it is describing an actual Mac OS X app. My apologies; I just saw the thread title and kind of automatically assumed this was yet another of these "check out my website with porn / money scam / illegal crap on it!" threads that we seem to be having a glut of lately. Sorry about that...
