I tried Bit Torrent on my PC and I could not get it to download anything. I'm supposing that this is because of my Firewall because my friend's Powerbook cannot either. I use a D-Link 614+ 802.11b wireless router. I am getting a Powerbook next week and wondering what I need to do to make it work.

Or if I'm completely wrong, please correct me and tell me whats up. Thanks

george

All you gotta do is forward the appropriate ports from the router to your internal IP address... It depends on the client you use, but to be safe just forward, say, 6881-6999 to your IP address. If more than one computer wants to use bittorrent you can forward a different range to that computer and set up its client to use said range.

Please see your router's documentation for more information on port forwarding.

Thank you for calling macnn, my name is chris at extension 4224, have a good day.
