I have iCal in the dock of my 10.3 machine. It says the date on the icon, but is not updated to the current date until I open the program.

i.e, If I have not opened iCal since August 2nd, it will say "2" even though it is August 9th.

Does this happen to everyone else? Is there a way to fix it? (I'd rather not have to open the program every morning)

Yes it happens to everyone else, and nope you can't "fix it" - and it's not really a bug - it's the expected behavior. Why not just leave iCal open all the time though? you can close the window, and it wont take up any resources...

Yes it has always done this, not really a bug I suppose. Considering I open mine at least twice a day I don't really notice it.
