The Mozilla Foundation is moving the part of gecko that handle images on mac os X from the old quickdraw API to the new quartz API introduced with Mac os X. This needs to be tested because the code that handled the images is dated from 1998 and has been tested a lot. We need people to test this new image handling mechanism. Grab this mozilla nightly http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.o...c-MachO.dmg.gz and use it if you encounter image related bugs please fill a bug. Testing this beta will help both Mozilla, Mozilla FireFox and Camino, so the more tester the better. When filling bugs be sure to cc jhpedemonte@gmail.com and to say you are using the special nightly.

If we're not talking text rendering, what is the advantage of using Quartz?
