This program is a OS9 program and I run 10.3.4
anyways, I just have a slight problem, whenever I save images.. lets say to the desktop, the thumbnails are always so increidbly pixelated that it is almost impossible to tell what the picture actually is. This becomes a problem when I am looking through a bunch of pictures that I have edited and am trying to organize. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
oh and when I go to file>open to see the .jpeg files I want to open, they all have the quicktime icon by it, even though the ending is .jpeg. Is this something OS9 specifice? if so please tell me. I only started using mac right when os x was released.
thanks for any imput!

Yes, the file handling quirks are all OS 9 specific. Quicktime in OS 9 was the default handler for image files, so many .jpg's had a quicktime icon.
As you are using PS in Classic, and therefore within an emulated version of OS 9 I don't think this can be changed.
I know it's expensive, but I would suggest upgrading to Photoshop 7 (the first OS X compatible version) or Photoshop CS (the newest version)

Photoshop LE evolved into Photoshop Elements (the current version available at retail is Photoshop Elements 2.0), which comes on a hybrid-CD, and is OS X-compatible, if that's any help. Well worth the money, IMVHO.

Your alternative is to save the files in PS without creating a preview - it should be an option somewhere, and then have the Finder display image previews for you (when in icon view, under View>Show View Options select "Show Icon Preview"). I think that should work.
