Can anyone recommend an application or solution that would meet these critera for my art department?

* Catalog Existing Quark, Photoshop, PDF, etc. types of documents.
* Catalog Existing Removable Media so we can easily find a file that has been pushed off to a CD or DVD.
* Easily Search Index of Files on Network Archive Volumes.

Cross platform wouldn't hurt either.

I am trying to setup a better archival solution, and some sort of management seems to be in order.

Thanks for your help.

Something like Media Beacon, maybe?

Comes fairly highly recommended from a coworker who knows 5 or 6 customers using it.
