2 days ago I realized that one of my HDs (120GB) has died!
Everytime I try to open it the finder hangs and I can hear some weird scratching noises...
When I try to repair it with DiskWarrior a message pops up in the middle of the process saying that a drive was unproperly removed and DW hangs with a message claiming that it waits for an OSX system process to finish... (Apples disk-utility doesn't find a problem)

Does anybody have an idea what I still could do to get some of my data back? (not all of it was backed up!)

before it's moved, there's some texts on the net, "Hard Drive Dispair Repair", stuff like putting it in a bag and into the freezer for a bit. Before you do things like replacing drive mechanisms in a "kinda clean" room, check data recovery services.

Boot off another drive and copy what you can over, use a utility that makes as perfect a backup as possible (no interpretation, just dumps the data). may i suggest a Seagate drive, about a year or two ago, the barracuda IV and V had the lowest number of failed drives of all manufacturors, and I've had no trouble.
