.....is it possible to change the port ARD listens to on the client?

I have multiple client computers behind a NAT router. Sincec ARD listens on port 3683, it won't work in this situation.

any ideas?

I'm not quite sure how to change it in the client, but why not set the router to forward a different port to port 3683 on each computer. For instance, say you have two computers on the LAN. You can have one actually listen on 3683, but, lets say, forward port 9000 to 3683 on computer 2. Then enter the IP address as AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD:3683. I am not sure if that will work, but when I use other program that require a server on a PC, I cam forward a different external port to the internal port, and just use the external port.

I never said to change the external port. I said forward a different external port to the normal internal port on that machine.

by doing that, the admin would have to log in, into a different port than the default (regardless if the internal port for the computer is at the default port) .........

so the question is : Is ARD able to log into a remote computer using a different external port than the default.............. ?
