I haven't upgraded iPhoto to 4.0.3 yet because a message comes up warning me that the upgrade will prevent iPhoto from being able to read my old Library? I can't export any images in iPhoto because the upgrade wants to run as soon as I launch iPhoto.

Will this upgrade delete my old Library? At this point, it looks like I have to upgrade no matter what but I really can't afford to lose all of the images I have in iPhoto. Help!

Can you paste the actual error message? Does it actually say that upgrading will prevent you from using your old library, or that old versions of iPhoto won't be able to use your new library, and that of course the new version of iPhoto will read your newly converted library just fine?

yep - upgrading your library isn't going to delete anything. Go ahead and do it - back up if you're really nervous.

Yup, my paranoia got ahead of me... It was stating that old versions of iPhoto will not be able to read my library once I've updated.
It's all good now.
