My sister just got a 12 inch iBook. She uses aol, and we were wondering how she can put that email in the mail app. Does anyone know how to do this? I use my .mac name, and that just got set up automatically, but I don't know how to do her aol.
Please let me know.
Brandon

I cannot give you the specifics right now. BUT -- MacAddict dealt with this issue within the past month or two. Look online and it will give step-by-step directions for how to bounce aol mail onto mail. I'm planning to do it myself one of these days. (I don't use my aol account for much.)
If I find the magazine in the next couple hours I'll look it up and post it myself. But, as I said, check the web site.

I'll check the macaddict out. But for the entourage, I've never used taht program. We just got office 2004 and I installed it on my computer (but didn't install entourage with it). When I install it on her computer should I use entourage? Is it a good program, or should I just stick with mail?

AOL has an article on how to set up an AOL account in Mail.

You know, rumor has it they're now beta-testing a lightweight connection client that just connects you to the Internet, and you can use your own browser and e-mail program and everything. Try going to Keyword: Beta and see.
Incidentally, I actually like the Mac AOL client better than the Windows one. It's a bit less featureful, but it drives me less crazy.

The thing is, we already have cox so we're connected 24/7. There is no reason to have aol on top of that, but my parents had that when they had dial-up and they still like it for some reason. That beta thing sounds pretty cool though.
