My sister just got a 12 inch iBook this morning. After installing most of the updates, we put AOL on there. Works fine. Then we tried some more software updates, and then restarted computer. When we do this, there is
First: Classic looking screen with small picture of the earth
Second: Same classic looking screen with picture of a folder with a "?" inside then switches to the finder icon, then back and forth, etc.
Third: The regular OS X start up we all know and love with the apple logo.

I deleted AOL from the computer and it still does the same thing upon restart.
Does anyone know what the heck this is?
Thanks in advance,
Brandon

Go to Startup Disk and make sure your hard drive is selected.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
