I have searched the forums but I am not finding the same situation as this...

I have my comcast.net account set up in Entourage and my .Mac account set up in Mail. I like to keep them separate because I only give my .mac account to certain people and companies.

But all of a sudden I am not receiving my .mac email in "Mail". I can send messages just fine, but when I say "Get Messages", nothing shows up. If I log onto .mac and check via the web, the mail is there, but still not in my Mail app.

I have tried trashing the pref and resetting. I have checked the setup in the System prefs, but still nothing. Any other ideas?

this is probably too simple for you not to have tried it already, but have you tried repairing permissions? Have you gone to the message menu in mail and and checked online status? for some reason I've occasionally had it suddenly go to "offline" for no apparent reason.

simple as it was, that took care of it. I was "offline". i'll swallow my pride and be embarrassed- i'm just happy it's working again.
