Question: does any one know of a good, fast file/folder backup utility for OSX ???

Question: What is the difference between synchronizing and backing up ???

Question: Which is better to do, synchronize or back up ???

Thanks in advance for any and all guidance given my Mac brothers and sistahs.

Peace,

All of your questions could easily be answered by using the "search" function.

Question: Did Zee use the search function to try and find the answers first before posting?

Question: Why not?

Question: Why is Zee upset over someone suggesting Zee should have searched first?

Let's just say you have two folders

As far as I know syncronizing two folders with different documents would make both folders identical .. each having added the info from the other folder they didn't have

Backing up takes one folder and makes a copy of only what is in that folder ..

After your first back up ... all you need to do is "incremental" backup ... just new or changed files are backed up .. this way is a lot faster .

Here are my favorite backup apps ..

iMsafe ... I use this to backup my user folder
