I have a 1st gen. iPod that I'd like to resore its original software on. The original CD has only iTunes installers and it seems that Apple has pulled all earlier versions of iPod software. Does anyone know of any obscure Apple site that might still have it?

The most recent iPod update (released on the 6th of this month) will update first-gen iPods to version 1.4 of the iPod software. I updated my first-gen iPod with it early last week.

I guess I didn't make myself clear enough. I want to locate the iPod software updater that will restore my 1st gen. iPod to software version 1.1 (or earlier). I'm well aware that the current version is 1.4 but I'd like to have 1.1. Thanks. Hope this clears it up.
