There seems to be a major problem with the UK iTMS.
Many users are getting the 'The version of iTunes you are using is out of date, install the latest version' message when they try to use the store.
They can browse the store, but find that they get the US store and the the UK as expected.
If they do manage to get to a page on the store it is for the US.
If they select the UK Store they end up back at the US Store.
Is this any way to run a business - lost sales here we come!

I have just spent an hour trying to access the UK iTMS, no joy.
I can continually get access to the US Store, no problem, but can't get access to the US Main Page so that I can change the Country to the UK.
I try to access my account only to be told that I am in the US Store, but clicking the 'OK' button will take me to the UK Store. So I click OK, to be greeted by the 'Your version of iTunes needs updating......' and I'm still in the US Store. It does not change to the UK.
So basically it's broken, there is no way to get back to the UK Store at the moment.
Is the UK Store down?
I am not the only person with this issue, how many sales are Apple losing today because of this?
GET IT SORTED.

Have you downloaded the Free Track this week?
I think that is what causes the problem.
It is a track in the US Store, and it changes stores so that it can be downloaded.
We then can't get back to the UK Store.
Give it a try.

Just tried it and again, no problems (apart from the song being a bit - edit: actually, it's completely - pants). I use the Shopping Cart feature if that makes any difference.
FWIW, have you tried restarting? When I have had issues in the past (e.g. for some reason I was getting the US iMix charts instead of the UK ones), restarting solved it.

I did a reboot and that fixed it for a while.
I popped into the browse area, tried to go back to the UK Main Page and got the 'out of date version' message again.
Now I am back in the US Browse area and can't get out again and I'm not doing a reboot every time I want to use the store.
It's their loss, if they want sales then they should get this fixed, it has been a recurring problem for many people since iTMS was launched, some days it works others not.

Just done yet another reboot and it's not working.
Looks like I'm not going to be shopping with iTMS again, I wish I could but it's easier to order a real CD online.
I'm giving up trying until I hear things are sorted out PROPERLY.
I have turned off iTMS from iTunes so that it does not sit there annoying me every time I play music.
I would not mind if they even acknowledged that there was a problem, loads of people get the same issue and Apple just sit silent about it.

actually i think you have the issue, since i've never had any problems with outages with iTMS.
try deleting your prefs for iTunes or something cos there is something wrong if a reboot fixes it.

If I was the only one with the issue I would agree, but there seem to be others if you look in the Apple Support Boards.
I have trashed preferences, reinstalled iTunes, etc, etc.
For now it's out of favour with me, and will not get used.
Back to buying CD's for £8.99 delivered from CDWOW.com

It's a personal vendetta against you Parky, after you reported Apple to the Advertising Standards Authority.

I don't know what you're all on about. I bought the free song. Then I went back to browsing the store as usual.
It must be something personal

Two things.
1. I didn't know the UK iTMS was doing 'free songs' where are they?
2. I attempted to buy some tracks today, I put the password in and it came up with a "We are unable to process credit cards today. You can continue browsing the store, and try again tomorrow." error message.

Never experienced that problem here either.
I did however once get an invoice from Apple, billing me for the same song twice. Bloody stupid that this is even possible on the same invoice. So i complained out of principle. And get a really snotty Email back, saying it was my error (Was a track I had some bother persuading to download) but that they will credit me back for the song this once. Was their bloody error, not mine! n:
