adobe acrobat keeps quitting on me. I've updated to latest version, repaired permissions, reinstalled.

here's the report:

Date/Time: 2004-08-25 17:42:45 -0400
OS Version: 10.3.4 (Build 7H63)
Report Version: 2

Command: Acrobat
Path: /Applications/Acrobat 6.0 Professional/Acrobat 6.0.2 Professional.app/Contents/MacOS/Acrobat
Version: 6.0.2 (6.0.2)
PID: 500
Thread: Unknown

Link (dyld) error:

dyld: /Applications/Acrobat 6.0 Professional/Acrobat 6.0.2 Professional.app/Contents/MacOS/Acrobat NSLookupSymbolInImage() dynamic library: /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/ApplicationServices does not define symbol: _TXNClearUndo

----------

I don't know enough to interpret this. the only report I can find at adobe on Acrobat quitting is for Windows and everything on this forum dates from last year and previous versions.

this is highly frustrating. any help appreciated

thanks

try deleting the preferences file.
try reinstalling.

(keep that ser# handy!)

btw if you are just reading pdfs, not creating them, apple'r preview is the way to go.
single-click a pdf, command-I, and set "open with" to preview.
then select "open all"...IF! u want to do this.

I deleted prefs file in user/library with no results then painstakingly deleted everything I could find including prefs and reinstalled to the same results.

I've been using Preview but I just installed Adobe Creative Suite in it's entirety and would like to get this component working. I'm trying to learn how to use these apps.

Sorry, no Dutch here. Sherlock makes a somewhat incomprehensible translation of it. I'll see if I can guess the general meaning.
