I have a local news movie clip here from internet that I want to save it, it opens up with Window Media Player here. It plays horrible, is there a way that I could save it in Quicktime?

I tried to save this movie clip from window media player, too. It wouldn't let me, I mean, how can I? I see no "Save"

Thanks

This is something M$ obviously doesn't want you to do, but for older ASF/WMV codecs it is possible using open-source utilities. The most recent codecs, however, which are also the most common now, won't work. So it's very important to know what codec is in there. What does WMP say for the format in the info window (cmd-i)? failing that, open the movie in HexEdit and copy and paste the first 2 pages or so (the ascii or the hex) here.
