I've been testing the use of Sharepoints for a network I'm going to configure. I want to have a couple shares on a single machine that various users connect to and save their files. Everything seems to work great with TextEdit and Appleworks.
However, I'm having an issue with Word. Here is the scenario: I am on a workstation. I connect to a share on another machine that was created with Sharepoint. I open a Word document on that share, edit it, and save. The document saves fine. However, there is a "Temporary Items" folder created in the share. Underneath that is a folder called "504" which in turn contains a folder called "TemporaryItems". That last folder is empty.
Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? I tested connected to a shared user directory (the standard Mac OS X sharing method), and I did not see this problem.
I didn't know if I should post this here or in the Networking forum.
