When I preview my work in idvd 4 (latest version) everything is fine. After I burn my dvd, the audio is completely out of sync with the video. In searching the forums someone had the same problem with idvd 3. The said to go back into imovie and extract the audio from all the clips in the timeline. Then re-import into idvd, burn again and the problem should be solved. That didn't work for me.
I am transferring a two hour VHS home movie to imovie and then idvd. This is the second disc. The first part of this project worked fine.
Can anyone help??

Well, I started the second part of this project over again and this time everything is in synch. This is probably a longshot but could part of the problem be that I am running iDVD 4 with a 700mhz G4? The minimum system requirements for iDVD list at least a 733mhz G4.
Anyway, has anyone had better experience with another DVD authoring program (Toast titanium; DVD studio pro; etc.)?

Probably not, but maybe you could use it as an excuse to explain to your wife why you need a G5

Well, I'd LOVE a G5 but according to the forums on the Apple website, that wouldn't work either. Plenty of people with G5's are having the same problem.
It looks like its Toast Titanium for me until Apple comes out with a fix for this problem THAT WORKS!!!! From what I have been reading, this has been a longstanding problem with iDVD. I have made enough frisbees and I just don't have the time to try workarounds that may or may not work on every DVD project I start.
At least now I'm sure its not my 700mhz G4 thats the problem.
