I'd like to do some basic sound editing, splitting large .aiffs into smaller .aiffs and I'm looking for something a little more robust than Quicktime Pro. A waveform editor would be nice. Any suggestions?

Sound Studio from Felt Tip software is the way to go.

SoundStudio is nice...but it is not free.
